Nohass

noun
A state of being completely hassle-free; a step beyond “no hassle”.

It all started with a notion. I had never bought a domain before, but one night I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to own a website? Don't mind a house just a bit of digital real estate to call my own.

Being from Ireland, I wanted something that captured the national spirit of no stress, no drama, no fuss. Without much thought, “No hassle” came to mind, a heavily used tool in our social inventory, right next to saying “sorry” when someone else bumps into you. It’s our way of saying that we come in peace and helps us bypass life’s little tensions.

“Sorry I’m late.” - “Ah, no hassle.” Missed the party? No hassle. No spicy chicken (like seriously)? Still no hassle.

So naturally, I wanted nohassle.com. Unsurprisingly, it was already taken, but GoDaddy offered to negotiate with the owner for a fee. After a few drinks and a bit of misplaced optimism, I coughed up a hundred quid to start the process.

Enter Tyson, my American domain broker. Just a chill, sharp, and genuinely helpful kind of guy. Over the phone, he asked why I wanted the domain. I gave it to him straight - I was a newbie, thought it was funny, and had about €3,000 max to spend.

He laughed. Like, proper laughed.

Turns out nohassle.com was worth tens of thousands, and quite possibly even more. The vibe quickly shifted from sales call to therapy session. I apologised for wasting his time. Tyson, clearly no stranger to this kind of call, was sound enough to issue a full refund without me even asking. He wrapped it up with a line that slightly hurt but also I respected: "It’s no hassle."

So, back to square one. Humbled but not defeated, I jumped back into the domain search bar and typed in nohass.com. Half the hassle, half the syllables, and there it was right infront of me - Available. Cheap. Waiting. I splashed out the ten quid, and it was mine.

That my friends is how nohass.com was born.

It’s not about settling. It’s about rolling with the punches, laughing at the near-wins, and keeping things chill when plans take a different turn.

Not the plan, but maybe the point - this is what nohass is about.
